Mercedes-Benz is set to launch the new AMG CLE 53 Coupe in India by late 2025, adding to its performance lineup alongside the AMG GT 63 S E, as reported by Autocar India. Unveiled in December 2023, the AMG CLE 53 brings significant styling upgrades and enhanced performance over its predecessor, the E 53 Coupe.
Here’s what to expect in Mercedes-AMG CLE 53 Coupe
Sporting the iconic AMG Panamericana grille, sleek LED headlamps with blue illumination, and a muscular stance, the CLE 53 coupe delivers a bold look. Wider front and rear tracks, flared wheel arches, and optional 19- and 20-inch alloy wheels enhance its aggressive presence. The coupe’s rear features distinctive two-part LED taillights and dual exhausts integrated into the rear diffuser.
Inside, the AMG CLE 53 boasts advanced technology, including a 12.3-inch driver’s display and an 11.9-inch portrait-oriented touchscreen powered by the third-gen MBUX system. Additional features include a Burmester sound system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and 64-colour ambient lighting. The cabin is designed for a premium driving experience.
Under the hood, the AMG CLE 53 is powered by a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged inline-six engine with a 48V mild-hybrid system, delivering 449hp and 560Nm of torque. With Overboost, the torque increases to 600Nm for 12 seconds, accelerating the car from 0-100 km/h in just 4.2 seconds. Paired with a nine-speed gearbox and 4Matic all-wheel drive, the CLE 53 reaches a top speed of 250 km/h, which can be increased to 270 km/h with the AMG Performance Package.
