Mercedes-Benz is making a strong push in India this year with the launch of 8 new models, including both traditional and electric vehicles. The German luxury carmaker has already kicked off its launch series with the introduction of the EQS 450 SUV and the all-electric G-Wagon. This move comes as part of its strategy to maintain sales momentum after recording impressive growth in 2024.
In 2024, Mercedes-Benz achieved a remarkable 12% sales growth, with a total of 19,565 units sold, compared to 17,408 in 2023. The brand’s focus on electric vehicles has paid off, as sales of all-electric models doubled last year. The EQS 580 SUV, for instance, has been sold out until April 2025.
One of the highlights of Mercedes-Benz’s 2025 launch calendar is the AMG CLE 53 Coupe, which will debut in Q2 2025. Additionally, the company continues to focus on the premium segment, with one in every four cars sold in India priced above Rs 1.5 crore.
In line with its growing presence, Mercedes-Benz is also expanding its sales and service network. The brand currently has 125 touchpoints in 50 cities, with plans to add 18 more by March 2025. By the end of the year, Mercedes-Benz aims to increase its touchpoints by two more.
