Mercedes-Benz has launched the more affordable EQS 450 SUV in India, priced at ₹1.28 crore, making it ₹13 lakh cheaper than the EQS 580 SUV. This new 5-seater variant offers an impressive mix of performance, luxury, and technology, catering to a wider audience seeking the brand’s electric luxury SUV experience.

The EQS 450 SUV shares the 122kWh battery pack with its higher-spec sibling, the EQS 580, delivering a range of 820km on the MIDC cycle—just 11km more than the 580. With a power output of 360hp and 800Nm of torque, the 450 accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 6.1 seconds, making it slightly slower than the EQS 580. However, charging times remain similar, with a 10-80% charge via a 200kW DC fast charger taking just 31 minutes.

Inside, the EQS 450 SUV boasts a luxurious 56-inch Hyperscreen setup, comprising a 12.3-inch instrument cluster, 17.7-inch infotainment system, and front passenger screen. A Burmester audio system, 360-degree camera, multi-zone climate control, Level 2 ADAS, and nine airbags come standard. The spacious boot complements the roomy cabin, offering ample storage for everyday use.

Externally, the EQS 450 SUV features sleek 21-inch black alloys and the Electric Art Line design, providing a refined look compared to the AMG Line seen on the EQS 580.

The Mercedes EQS 450 SUV will be showcased alongside the Mercedes G 580 Edition One at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, continuing the brand’s push for electric mobility in India.
