Mercedes-Benz India will unveil the new V214 E-Class LWB, which competes with the BMW 5-Series LWB, on October 9, with deliveries starting before Diwali at the end of the same month.

Mercedes E-Class LWB features

The new E-Class is different from its predecessor because of its front appearance, which is inspired by recent Mercedes EQ cars. The huge chrome grille, which has an immense 3D logo surrounded by many smaller three-pointed stars, sets the tone and a gloss black panel around the grille. In profile, there are new S-Class flush door handles, as well as 18-inch wheels. At the back, it has new LED tail lights with a tri-arrow pattern embedded.

One notable feature of the interior is the Mercedes Superscreen layout. Along with the digital instrument cluster, the Superscreen consists of a 14.4-inch centre touchscreen and a 12.3-inch passenger touchscreen. Additionally, a Burmester 4D surround sound system will be included.

At first, two four-cylinder engines will be available: a 204hp 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and a 197hp 2.0-litre turbo-diesel. Both are equipped with 48V mild hybrid systems, which add 23 horsepower and 205 Nm of torque. Both petrol and diesel engines are coupled to a 9-speed torque converter automatic transmission.
