Mercedes-Benz India revealed on Monday the arrival of the GLC SUV and C-Class sedan, both of which will have new features and a new powertrain. While the C-Class is offered in C 200 petrol, C 220d diesel and an elite C 300 AMG Line petrol, the GLC’s 300 4MATIC and 220d 4MATIC models have a number of premium features designed to improve comfort and safety.
The new 2024 GLC 300 4MATIC is priced at ₹75.90 and ₹76.90 lakhs, respectively. The current C-Class variants are priced at ₹61.85 lakh for the C 200, ₹62.85 lakh for the C 220 d and ₹69 lakh for the all-new C 300 AMG Line. All prices are before taxes.
The Mercedes-Benz GLC and C-Class are among the top-selling premium vehicles in the nation. The GLC, in particular, is a popular choice in the luxury SUV sector, and a facelift version was introduced only last year. Mercedes has sold about 14,000 units of the model since it was first introduced in the nation in 2016.
In addition to having climatised front seats, the latest Mercedes GLC now has side airbags in the back, increasing the total number of airbags in the car to nine.
The C 300 AMG Line has now taken the place of the C 300d. This model is at the top of the sedan’s variant list and has AMG Line external and interior style with the ‘Night Package’, digital lighting, comfort package, augmented reality navigation and blind-spot assistance and Burmester sound system. It is driven by an M254 petrol engine, which provides significantly greater power and torque than the C 200 and C 220d, with 254bhp and 400 Nm of torque.
The Mercedes C 200 and C 220d are equipped with climatized front seats, a 360-degree camera, fast-charging USB ports, digital key handover and adaptive high beam assist. The model also comes in an all-new Sodalite Blue exterior color.
