Within weeks after releasing the EQA electric SUV and the upgraded EQB, German automaker Mercedes-Benz is preparing to unveil two more new vehicles in India in August. The company has revealed that the AMG version of the GLC SUV will be released on August 8 in India, alongside the CLE Cabriolet. The AMG GLC 43 Coupe will be the first model of the German brand’s best-selling SUV to be sold in India following the launch of its next-generation version in 2023. The CLE Cabriolet will be Mercedes-Benz’s third convertible model in India, after the E 53 Cabriolet and the SL 55 Roadster.

Mercedes AMG GLC 43 Coupe Features

Following the discontinuation of the previous generation model, the AMG coupe variant of the Mercedes GLC SUV will make its return to India. The GLC 43 Coupe debuted last year and is based on the new generation GLC SUV. Mercedes has not announced if the model would be locally manufactured in India, as was the case with its previous generation. It will get styling upgrades and a new engine under the hood, among other modifications.

The AMG coupe will be powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged engine with mild hybrid technology. The engine is capable of producing 415 bhp and 500 Nm maximum torque. The mild-hybrid technology will increase the power of the AMG GLC Coupe by 12 bhp.

Mercedes CLE Cabriolet Features

On August 7, Mercedes will also replace the C-Class Cabriolet with the new CLE convertible in its portfolio. It based is on the same platform that powers the E-Class and C-Class models.

The CLE Cabriolet is speculated to be powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine with mild-hybrid technology, as well as a 3.0-litre six-cylinder unit capable of producing 375 bhp and 500 Nm of maximum torque.
