The fourth generation Maruti Suzuki Swift is the most recent model to enter the market. The base LXI variant costs ₹6.49 lakh ex-showroom, while the highest-spec ZXI+ variant costs ₹9.65 lakh ex-showroom. This latest Swift generation, which comes in five variants, LXi, VXi, VXi (O), ZXi, and ZXi+, brings significant design and substantial upgrades.
New Maruti Suzuki Swift Features
Maruti has introduced a new 1.2-litre 3-cylinder Z-series petrol engine, which will replace the old unit. However, unlike its Japanese counterpart, the new Swift does not use mild hybrid technology. This engine, teamed with either a five-speed manual or a five-speed AMT transmission, produces 80 bhp of maximum power and 112 Nm of peak torque, which is slightly less than the outgoing model. However, it has an outstanding mileage of 25.72 km/l.
In terms of size, the new Swift is 15mm longer, 40mm longer and 30mm taller than its predecessor, while keeping the same 2,450mm wheelbase.
There have been several significant changes made to the new Swift’s design. It has upgraded LED headlights and DRLs, an updated grille with an all-black treatment and a new placement for the rear door handles—which are now on the doors rather than the C-pillar
Similar to the Fronx, Brezza, and Baleno, the new Swift’s interior has been modified with a focus on creating a more premium feel. It has an upgraded digital instrument cluster and a new 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. A bigger 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 360-degree camera, a head-up display, wireless charging, rear AC vents and other features are included in the top-end models.
In terms of safety, the fourth-generation Swift has six airbags as standard on all models, as well as Electronic Stability Control (ESC) and Hill Start Assist.
