Maruti Suzuki recently unveiled its first electric vehicle, the e-Vitara, marking a significant milestone in India’s EV market. Initially showcased at the Bharat Mobility Global Auto Expo 2025, the e-Vitara was first revealed in November 2024 in Italy. Now, Maruti Suzuki has disclosed the much-anticipated range and technology details of this futuristic SUV.

Performance & Range

The Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara will be available in two battery pack options:

  • 49 kWh battery – Delivers 142 bhp and 189 Nm torque, exclusive to the 2WD variant.
  • 61 kWh battery – Produces 172 bhp and 189 Nm torque, promising an impressive 500 km range in 2WD models.

 Interior Features

The e-Vitara’s cabin boasts a dual-tone interior with a squared-off dashboard and air vents. A dual-screen setup integrates both the infotainment system and the digital driver’s display. Premium features include:

  • 10.1-inch infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay & Android Auto
  • Panoramic sunroof & ventilated seats
  • Automatic climate control & wireless charger
  • 360-degree camera & connected car technology

Advanced Safety & ADAS

For the first time, Maruti introduces Level-2 ADAS in the e-Vitara. Other safety features include:

  • 7 airbags
  • ABS with EBD & electronic stability control
  • Front & rear parking sensors
  • Electronic parking brake with auto-hold

Exterior Design

The e-Vitara’s design draws inspiration from the eVX concept with striking LED headlights, Y-shaped DRLs, and a bold black bumper. The 18-inch or 19-inch alloy wheels, connected LED taillights, and sporty roof spoiler enhance its aggressive stance.

Expected Price

Maruti Suzuki is set to announce the e-Vitara’s pricing soon, with an expected range between ₹17 lakh to ₹26 lakh (ex-showroom).
