Maruti Suzuki, India’s leading automobile manufacturer, has recorded a 5.1% year-on-year (YoY) growth in production volume for February 2025. The total production stood at 187,414 units, up from 178,261 units in February 2024, showcasing the brand’s strong performance and sustained demand in the market.
Breakdown of Maruti Suzuki Production in February 2025
A: Mini & Compact Segment
This segment includes some of Maruti Suzuki’s best-selling models such as the Alto, S-Presso, Baleno, Celerio, Dzire, Ignis, Swift, WagonR, and OEM models. The total production for the Mini + Compact sub-segment stood at 102,047 units, slightly lower than the 102,988 units produced in February 2024.
- Mini (Alto, S-Presso): 12,198 units (2025) vs. 13,891 units (2024)
- Compact (Baleno, Celerio, Dzire, Ignis, Swift, WagonR, OEM Model): 89,849 units (2025) vs. 89,097 units (2024)
A: Mid-Size Segment
The Ciaz, Maruti Suzuki’s premium mid-size sedan, saw a significant production increase with 2,900 units in February 2025, compared to 1,465 units in February 2024.
B: Utility Vehicles
Maruti Suzuki’s utility vehicle lineup, including the Brezza, Ertiga, Fronx, Jimny, XL6, and OEM models, witnessed a notable jump in production. The company produced 66,647 units in February 2025, marking a significant increase from 56,872 units in February 2024.
C: Vans
The Eeco, Maruti Suzuki’s popular van, saw a slight dip in production with 12,405 units produced in February 2025, compared to 13,218 units in February 2024.
Total Passenger Vehicle Production
The total passenger vehicle production stood at 183,999 units in February 2025, reflecting a positive growth compared to 174,543 units in February 2024.
Light Commercial Vehicles (LCV) Production
Maruti Suzuki’s light commercial vehicle, the Super Carry, had a production output of 3,415 units in February 2025, slightly lower than 3,718 units in February 2024.
