Maruti Suzuki India Limited reported its production figures for April 2025, reflecting a steady performance across its vehicle categories. The total production volume, combining passenger vehicles and light commercial vehicles, stood at 179,956 units, marking a 6% year-on-year (YoY) increase from 169,751 units in the same month last year.

In the passenger vehicle segment, the company produced 176,784 units in April 2025 compared to 166,325 units in April 2024. Within this category, the Mini sub-segment, which includes models like the Alto and S-Presso, recorded a production of 9,714 units, down from 13,702 units in April 2024. The Compact sub-segment, comprising popular models such as the Baleno, Celerio, Dzire, Ignis, Swift, WagonR, and an OEM model, saw production rise to 82,576 units from 76,845 units in the previous year.

The combined Mini and Compact sub-segment reached a total of 92,290 units, up slightly from 90,547 units last April. Notably, no production was reported in the Mid-Size segment, which had recorded 1,985 units in April 2024 with the Ciaz model. Consequently, the total production for passenger cars remained almost unchanged at 92,290 units in April 2025, compared to 92,532 units a year earlier.

Utility vehicles, which include the Brezza, Ertiga, Fronx, Jimny, XL6, and OEM models, experienced a significant production increase, rising to 72,640 units from 60,949 units in April 2024. Meanwhile, the Vans segment, represented by the Eeco, saw a decline with 11,854 units produced, down from 12,844 units in the same month last year.

In the Light Commercial Vehicles category, production of the Super Carry reached 3,172 units, a slight decrease from 3,426 units in April 2024.
