The Maruti Swift has received a special edition for the festive season, as is common for this time of year. Maruti Arena dealers will sell the Swift Blitz for a limited period in order to boost sales of the hatchback’s lower-spec models.
There will be five different versions of the Swift Blitz available: LXI, VXI, VXI AMT, VXI(O) and VXI(O) AMT. The Blitz adds fog lights, illuminated door sills, door visors, moulding along the sides and a rear underbody spoiler.
This kit, costing Rs 49,848, is being provided to customers for free, implying that the Maruti Swift Blitz is priced between Rs 6.49 lakh-8.02 lakh. The Swift, which debuted in May and received CNG-powered models just last month, is powered by a 1.2-litre three-cylinder engine producing 82hp and 112Nm on petrol and 70hp and 112Nm on CNG. In the petrol version, a 5-speed manual gearbox is standard, with a 5-speed AMT option available on all but the base variant.
