Maruti Suzuki India Limited reported a strong sales performance in December 2025, with total volumes rising 22.2% year-on-year to 217,854 units. The growth was driven primarily by higher domestic demand, even as exports declined compared to the same month last year.
During December 2025, the company recorded its highest-ever domestic sales for any single month at 182,165 units. Passenger vehicles continued to form the bulk of volumes, supported by steady demand across entry-level cars, compact hatchbacks, sedans, utility vehicles, and vans. Sales to other OEMs stood at 9,950 units, while export volumes came in at 25,739 units.
Within the domestic passenger car portfolio, the Mini segment, which includes Alto and S-Presso, recorded sales of 14,225 units in December 2025, compared with 7,418 units in December 2024. Combined Mini and Compact segment sales stood at 92,929 units during the month.
Utility vehicles continued to be a key growth driver. Models such as Brezza, Ertiga, Fronx, Grand Vitara, XL6, Jimny, and Invicto together contributed 73,818 units in December 2025, up from 55,651 units in the corresponding month last year. Van sales, led by the Eeco, remained largely stable at 11,899 units. Domestic passenger vehicle sales, including vans, reached 178,646 units, while light commercial vehicle sales, driven by the Super Carry, increased to 3,519 units.
Including light commercial vehicles and OEM supplies, total domestic sales stood at 192,115 units in December 2025, compared with 140,829 units in December 2024. Export performance, however, moderated on a year-on-year basis, declining to 25,739 units from 37,419 units in the same month last year.
On a calendar year basis, the company closed CY 2025 with its highest-ever total sales of 2,351,139 units. This included record export volumes of 395,648 units, underscoring the company’s growing presence in overseas markets despite month-to-month volatility.
