Maruti Suzuki India Limited recorded total sales of 179,791 units in April 2025, reflecting a 7% year-on-year (YoY) increase compared to 168,089 units sold in April 2024. The figures include domestic sales, OEM supply, and exports.
Compact Segment Performance
Sales in the compact segment rose to 61,591 units in April 2025, compared to 56,953 units in April 2024. This segment includes Baleno, Celerio, Dzire, Ignis, Swift, and WagonR. Combined sales of the mini and compact segments slightly declined from 68,472 to 67,923 units.
Mid-Size Segment Performance
Sales of the mid-size sedan Ciaz stood at 321 units, showing a decrease from 867 units in April 2024. Overall passenger car sales across mini, compact, and mid-size segments totaled 68,244 units, compared to 69,339 units in the previous year.
Utility Vehicles Performance
Utility vehicles, including Brezza, Ertiga, Fronx, Grand Vitara, Invicto, Jimny, and XL6, saw an increase in sales to 59,022 units, up from 56,553 units in April 2024.
Van and LCV Sales Update
The Eeco van registered 11,438 units in April 2025, slightly lower than the 12,060 units sold in April 2024. Light commercial vehicle Super Carry sold 3,349 units, marking an increase from 2,496 units in the same month last year.
Total Domestic Sales Including LCV and OEM
Total domestic sales, including passenger vehicles, LCVs, and OEM supply, reached 151,880 units in April 2025, up from 145,929 units in April 2024. Sales to other OEMs also increased, reaching 9,827 units from 5,481 last year.
Exports Performance
Maruti Suzuki exported 27,911 units in April 2025, a 26% increase from 22,160 units in April 2024.
