Maruti Suzuki India Limited achieved a significant milestone in January 2025, marking its highest ever monthly sales volume of 212,251 units. This performance includes the best-ever domestic sales of 177,688 units, with an additional 7,463 units sold to other OEMs and 27,100 units exported.

In terms of sub-segment sales, the Mini and Compact segments saw strong results. The Mini segment, featuring popular models like the Alto and S-Presso, achieved sales of 14,247 units in January 2025. Meanwhile, the Compact segment, which includes the Baleno, Celerio, Dzire, Ignis, Swift, and WagonR, posted 82,241 units sold during the same period. Combining these segments, the total sales for the Mini + Compact category stood at 96,488 units in January 2025, reflecting a steady demand for these models in the domestic market.

Maruti Suzuki’s Mid-Size category, which includes the Ciaz, posted 768 units in January 2025, showing moderate performance compared to the previous year’s 363 units. The company’s total passenger car sales, including the Mini, Compact, and Mid-Size segments, amounted to 97,256 units, an increase from 92,745 units in January 2024.

The Utility Vehicles segment, consisting of models such as the Brezza, Ertiga, Fronx, Grand Vitara, Invicto, Jimny, and XL6, recorded a significant boost in January 2025, with sales reaching 65,093 units. This was a notable rise compared to 62,038 units sold in January 2024, and further strengthened Maruti Suzuki’s position in the growing utility vehicle market. Additionally, the Van category, represented by the Eeco, continued its steady performance with 11,250 units sold.

In total, Maruti Suzuki’s domestic passenger vehicle sales, including light commercial vehicles (LCVs), reached 177,688 units in January 2025. This figure includes 4,089 units of the Super Carry LCV, showing steady growth compared to the 3,412 units sold in the same month of the previous year.

Adding sales to other OEMs, Maruti Suzuki’s total domestic sales (passenger vehicles, LCVs, and OEM sales) rose to 185,151 units in January 2025, up from 175,443 units in January 2024.

In terms of exports, Maruti Suzuki also saw a notable increase, with 27,100 units exported in January 2025 compared to 23,921 units in January 2024.
