Maruti Suzuki has revealed that it has sold over two lakh Grand Vitaras in just 23 months. This is the fastest sales milestone ever for a mid-size SUV.
The Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara’s popularity is evident, as it has achieved milestone achievement less than two years after its debut in September 2022. By the end of June 2024, 1,99,550 Grand Vitara vehicles had been sold, according to SIAM figures. Within a year of the SUV’s release, the first one lakh units were sold. The next 1 lakh unit sales milestone happened in just ten months.
Remarkably, Maruti Suzuki sold 51,315 Grand Vitaras in FY2023 and 1,21,169 in the following fiscal year. High demand for S-CNG and hybrid models contributed significantly to this figure in sales. The automaker has sold 27,066 cars so far this fiscal year and with the festive season quickly approaching, sales are only predicted to rise.
