Maruti Suzuki is set to make waves in the EV segment with the Indian debut of the e Vitara at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Global Expo. Unveiled as the eVX concept at the 2023 Auto Expo and showcased globally at EICMA 2024 in Milan, the e Vitara marks Maruti Suzuki’s entry into the electric vehicle market.
The e Vitara will feature two battery options: a 49 kWh pack offering 142 bhp and 189 Nm of torque, and a 61 kWh pack delivering 172 bhp in 2WD or 300 Nm of torque in 4WD. With a projected range of up to 400 km, the e Vitara is powered by advanced lithium-iron-phosphate batteries and a highly efficient eAxle, integrating the motor and inverter seamlessly for optimal performance.
The SUV’s standout ALLGRIP-e 4WD system promises exceptional off-road capabilities. Trail Mode enhances traction by redistributing torque and braking power, ensuring superior handling on challenging terrains.
Measuring 4,275 mm in length with a 2,700-mm wheelbase, the e Vitara strikes a balance between style and functionality. The SUV boasts 18- or 19-inch alloy wheels, a ground clearance of 180 mm, and a turning radius of 5.2 meters, making it ideal for urban and adventurous drives alike.
