The Maruti Fronx has surpassed the 2 lakh-unit wholesale milestone in India. The Baleno-based compact SUV, offered through the company’s premium Nexa model channel, has recorded 1,00,000 sales in just 10 months, 1,50,000 units in 14 months and now the 2,00,000 sales milestone has arrived in mid-September 2024, 17 months after its debut on April 24, 2023.
The Maruti Fronx sold 134,735 units in FY2024, its first full year of sales, with average monthly deliveries of 11,228 units, according to SIAM’s wholesale statistics numbers. The popular SUV sold an additional 59,967 units in the current fiscal year between April and August 2024 (up 15% YoY). This equates to monthly dispatches of 11,993 units, or about 400 units every day. This places the Fronx seventh among the Top 20 utility vehicles for the first five months of FY2025.
With this latest milestone, the Maruti Fronx has become Nexa’s fastest SUV to reach the 2,000,000 mark, doing so in five months less than the Maruti Grand Vitara, which took 22 months.
