Mahindra has introduced the XUV700, a popular SUV, in a new special edition. Blaze Edition is the model name, and it starts at ₹24.24 lakh (ex-showroom). The Blaze Edition will only be offered with a front-wheel drive powertrain and a 7-seater layout, with petrol AT and diesel AT/MT choices. Mahindra has not made any mechanical adjustments to the SUV; the 2024 Mahindra XUV700 Blaze Edition simply features cosmetic changes.

Mahindra XUV700 Blaze Edition Features

The Mahindra XUV700 Blaze Edition comes with a new matte Blaze Red with Napoli Black highlights. Therefore, the alloy wheels, grille, roof and outside rearview mirrors are all blacked out. The inside has also undergone some minor cosmetic upgrades. Now that the cabin is coated in black, it has a little sporty appeal.

The XUV700 Blaze Edition does not have any modifications other than this. There are still two engine options offered. There is a 2.2-litre diesel engine and a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine. The diesel engine generates 184 bhp and up to 450 Nm of torque, while the petrol engine reaches a maximum output of 200 bhp and 380 Nm. There are two different gearbox options available: a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. Currently, the SUV costs between ₹13.99 lakh and ₹26.99 lakh. Both prices are ex-showroom.

Mahindra & Mahindra announced that, in April 2024, it sold 41,008 SUVs in the Indian market, registering an 18% year-over-year increase over 34,694 SUVs sold in the same month last year. This sales increase for the homegrown automaker comes at a time when the Indian passenger car industry is witnessing a maddening rush for SUVs to keep up with the global trend.
