Mahindra & Mahindra has hiked the prices of the flagship Mahindra XUV700 by up to Rs 50,000, specifically affecting the top-spec AX7 and AX7 L variants. This price hike follows the SUV’s remarkable performance, with the XUV700 registering its highest-ever monthly sales of 10,435 units in October.
Price Increase Details
- AX7 Variant: The price has increased by Rs 30,000.
- AX7 L Variant: The price hike ranges from Rs 30,000 to Rs 50,000.
It’s important to note that the price hike only impacts the AX7 and AX7 L variants. The more affordable MX, AX3, AX5, and AX5 S variants remain unaffected.
The AX7 variant is packed with premium features like LED clear-view headlamps with auto booster, 18-inch diamond-cut alloys, rain-sensing wipers, power-fold ORVMs, and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System). These features make it a more luxurious offering compared to the lower variants.
The range-topping AX7 L adds even more sophisticated features such as passive keyless entry, electric door handles, wireless charging, 360-degree surround view camera, adaptive cruise control with stop & go, and a 12-speaker 3D audio system. Both the AX7 and AX7 L variants are available in 6-seater and 7-seater configurations.
Under the hood, the XUV700 offers two engine options: a 2.0-litre TGDi mStallion petrol engine that produces 200PS and 380Nm, available with both 6-speed manual and automatic transmissions, and a 2.2-litre CRDe mHawk diesel engine that comes in two tunes. The lower variant produces 155PS and 360Nm, while the higher variant generates 185PS and 420Nm with a manual or 450Nm with an automatic. The AX7 and AX7 L variants also feature an all-wheel-drive (AWD) option.
