Mahindra & Mahindra aims to launch several new electric vehicles on the Indian market. Electric vehicles from the company will be sold under the BE and XUV  monikers. Fresh spy photos of the forthcoming Mahindra BE.05 and XUV.e9 have surfaced.

The Mahindra XUV.e9 electric SUV, which is set to go on sale in April of next year, has been undergoing tough road testing for months and has been seen several times during this process. The latest spy pictures posted on the social media site ‘X’ reveal the electric vehicle’s unique front look, as well as vertically stacked taillights, huge aerodynamic wheels and a curved light bar at the back.

The XUV.e9 will be Mahindra’s first all-electric coupe SUV. It will come after the XUV.e8, an electric SUV based on the XUV700, which is slated to arrive in India in late 2024 or early 2025.

On the other hand, Mahindra’s BE series will start with the BE.05. The company calls it a Sports Electric Vehicle, or SEV. The electric SEV, which is set to be released in October 2025, has been spotted on Indian roads once more, this time with heavy camouflage.

In the spy photos of Mahindra BE.05, the design appears to be similar to the concept version showcased a few years ago. However, the production model appears to feature smaller alloy wheels with thicker sidewall tyres to better adapt to Indian road conditions. Furthermore, the photos show wipers and rearview mirrors on the exterior, which were missing from the concept model.
