Mahindra surpassed Tata Motors in terms of unit sales in September 2024, making it the country’s third-largest automaker. This success could be attributed to several models in the brand’s portfolio. Among these is the Mahindra XUV 3XO, a sub-4m SUV whose features, when given at a reasonable price, significantly boosted the brand’s dominance in its sector. It was first available for sale on April 29 for Rs 7.49 lakh (ex-showroom). The firm has now increased the model’s price for the first time.
The Indian carmaker increased the cost of its SUVs by up to of Rs 30,000. Depending on the model and trim, there are several changes to the pricing list. The SUV is up against the Tata Nexon (Rs 8 lakh), Hyundai Venue (starting at Rs 7.49 lakh), Kia Sonet (starting at Rs 7.99 lakh), Maruti Suzuki Brezza (starting at Rs 8.34 lakh), and other models in a market where pricing may have a big influence on sales.
The pricing changes have had no effect on the figures for the MX3 Pro, AX7 and AX7L trim levels. Meanwhile, the MX1 and AX5 petrol models have seen the most significant price increase of Rs 30,000. The price changes for the MX2 Pro, MX3 and AX5L are limited to Rs 25,000.
The Mahindra XUV 3XO diesel models have seen a Rs 10,000 price increase for the MX2 Pro, MX3 and AX5 trim levels. The costs for diesel-powered MX2, MX3 Pro, AX7, and AX7L trim levels stay the same.
