Mahindra and Mahindra disclosed that it got over 50,000 bookings for its new XUV 3XO sub-4 metre compact SUV within the first 60 minutes of bookings opening. This indicates that more than 833 units were booked per second. Deliveries are scheduled to begin on May 26th. Mahindra claims to have produced 10,000 units of the XUV 3XO and has a monthly production capacity of 9,000 units for the subcompact SUV.
Customers can book the XUV 3XO online at the official website or through authorized dealerships by paying ₹21,000 booking amount.
Mahindra has nine models of the XUV 3XO available. Starting at ₹7.49 lakh, the prices go to ₹15.49 lakh. Both prices are ex-showroom. The Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Maruti Suzuki Brezza and the forthcoming Skoda compact SUV, which is anticipated to be launched in mid-2025, are the XUV 3XO’s main competitors.
Three engine options are available for the XUV 3XO. There is a 1.5-litre diesel engine, a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine with direct injection and a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine.
All three engines come equipped with a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard, whereas only the diesel engine has a 6-speed AMT. The petrol engines now include a new 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.
