The Mahindra XUV 3OO has achieved a remarkable 5-star safety rating in the Bharat NCAP crash tests, setting a new benchmark in the sub-compact SUV segment.
Competing with rivals like the Tata Nexon, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Kia Sonet and Hyundai Venue, the XUV 3OO secured top scores for both Adult Occupant Protection (AOP) and Child Occupant Protection (COP).
In the AOP category, the XUV 3OO scored an impressive 29.36 points out of 32, demonstrating excellent protection for adult occupants. In COP, it earned 43 points out of 49, making it a top choice for families concerned about child safety. Key safety features that contributed to its high rating include front airbags, seat belt pre-tensioners, seat belt load limiters, and side curtain airbags covering both front and rear passengers. Standard features like Electronic Stability Control (ESC), pedestrian protection, and seat belt reminder alerts further solidify its safety profile.
The Mahindra XUV 3OO excelled in multiple tests, including the Frontal Offset Deformable Barrier Test with a score of 13.36 out of 16, the Side Movable Deformable Barrier Test with a full 16 out of 16, and the Side Pole Impact Test, where it provided robust protection.
According to the official Bharat NCAP release, the five-star safety rating for the Mahindra XUV 3XO applies to the following variants: MX1, MX2, MX3, MX2 Pro, MX3 Pro, AX5, AX7, AX5L, AX7L, AX7 Pro and AX7L Pro. Furthermore, the safety rating applies to both petrol and diesel engine-powered models of the sub-compact SUV.
