While Mahindra released prices for the Thar Roxx on Independence Day, customers will be able to book the SUV online beginning October 3, 2024, at 11 a.m. Autocar India can confirm that the booking amount has been set at Rs 21,000.
Unofficial bookings for all models and engine options are now being accepted by dealers. The Thar Roxx is priced between Rs 12.99 lakh and Rs 20.49 lakh, and comes in the MX1, MX3, MX5, AX3L, AX5L, and AX7L models. Customers who pick the 4×4 variants (costing between Rs 18.79 lakh and 22.49 lakh) have three options: the AX7L (which has both manual and automatic gearbox options), the MX5 (which has a manual gearbox), and the AX5L (which has an automated gearbox).
The Roxx shares its 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and 2.2-litre diesel engines with the 3-door Thar and Scorpio-N, although in different states of tune. Both engines are available with manual or automatic transmissions, but only the diesel has optional 4×4 technology.
