Mahindra’s Thar, launched in October 2020, has now surpassed the 2,00,000 sales mark in India. By the end of October 2024, a total of 2,07,110 Thar units have been sold. This includes the original 3-door Thar and the recently launched 5-door Thar Roxx, which has been a key driver of growth.
In FY2025, Thar sales have soared with a 19.60% year-on-year increase, reaching 42,726 units from April to October 2023. This already makes up 65% of the total sales in FY2024. The Thar Roxx, being more practical and family-friendly, has widened the Thar’s appeal, attracting a broader audience.
In September 2024, Mahindra achieved a record-high monthly dispatch of 8,843 Thars, with 4,932 units being the new 5-door Roxx model. This surge in sales helped Mahindra reach new heights in overall monthly dispatches, breaking the 50,000-unit mark in September and surpassing it again in October with 54,504 units.
