Mahindra & Mahindra Limited recorded a strong performance in March 2025, with total vehicle sales rising 24% year-on-year to 88,701 units, compared to 71,814 units in March 2024, as per its regulatory filing to stock exchanges.
Utility vehicle sales, including popular models like Thar, Scorpio, Bolero, and XUV700, stood at 79,751 units, up from 66,840 units last year. The surge was led by robust demand for the new Thar Roxx, Scorpio, and the XUV700, which collectively added significant volume to the monthly tally.
The Thar Roxx, introduced with petrol and diesel variants, saw combined domestic sales of 8,936 units, a sharp rise from 6,049 units last year. Scorpio diesel continued its strong performance with 13,665 units sold domestically in March 2025.
In the electric mobility space, Mahindra reported notable traction, with the Origin electric SUV clocking 3,014 unit sales, and Treo electric three-wheelers reporting over 5,700 units, indicating growing acceptance of EVs across categories.
Mahindra’s export volumes also improved, rising to 4,143 units in March 2025 from 1,573 units in the same month last year — a 163% YoY increase.
Commercial vehicle sales also remained steady at 23,951 units, up from 20,930 units in March 2024. Within this segment, the electric three-wheeler category, including Treo and Zor Grand, contributed meaningfully.
These figures include sales from subsidiaries Mahindra Electric Automobile Ltd. and Mahindra Last Mile Mobility Ltd., as noted in the company’s statement.
