Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (M&M Ltd.), a prominent Indian automotive manufacturer, reported total auto sales of 84,170 vehicles in April 2025, reflecting a year-on-year growth of 19%, including exports.

In the Utility Vehicles segment, the company sold 52,330 vehicles in the domestic market, marking a 28% increase compared to April 2024. When including exports, the total number of Utility Vehicles sold reached 54,860 units. The Passenger Vehicles category recorded identical figures, as Cars and Vans were not part of the sales tally.

Domestic sales of Commercial Vehicles stood at 22,989 units. Within this segment, Light Commercial Vehicles (LCV) under 2 tons experienced a decline of 21%, with 2,652 units sold compared to 3,372 units in April 2024. However, LCVs in the 2 to 3.5-ton range grew by 9%, reaching 19,141 units. Vehicles over 3.5 tons, including Medium and Heavy Commercial Vehicles (MHCVs), recorded a 10% increase, totaling 1,196 units.

The company’s three-wheeler sales remained relatively flat, with 5,470 units sold in April 2025, a marginal 1% decline from 5,504 units the previous year.

Exports saw significant growth, increasing by 82% year-on-year. Mahindra exported 3,381 vehicles in April 2025, compared to 1,857 units in April 2024.

According to Veejay Nakra, President of the Automotive Division at M&M Ltd., the company started the new fiscal year with continued demand across segments, contributing to the year-on-year growth in both domestic and export markets.
