Mahindra has officially launched the all-new BE 6e compact electric SUV, starting at ₹18.90 lakh (ex-showroom). This latest EV, inspired by the BE.05 concept revealed in 2022, marks a significant step in Mahindra’s journey into electric mobility. Built on the innovative INGLO platform, the BE 6e is the first of a family of SUVs under Mahindra’s BE sub-brand. Deliveries for this highly anticipated model are expected to begin by March 2025.

The BE 6e retains much of the bold and futuristic design language first seen in the BE.05 concept, which debuted in 2022. Its exterior styling showcases a blend of sportiness and sophistication, with elements like J-shaped LED daytime running lamps and a closed-off grille contributing to its modern aesthetic. The aerodynamic panel that bridges the headlamps adds to the sleekness of the design, while the prominent flared wheel arches and angular, coupe-inspired raked rear windscreen enhance its dynamic stance. At the rear, the BE 6e makes a statement with its distinctive C-shaped LED tail-lamps and a split roof-mounted spoiler.

Inside, the BE 6e takes inspiration from jet aircraft cockpits, creating an immersive and futuristic cabin experience. A panoramic digital display dominates the dashboard, seamlessly integrating the instrument cluster and central touchscreen. The two-spoke steering wheel features an illuminated BE logo, adding a unique visual touch. Cutting-edge technology, such as a head-up display, connected vehicle features, and a Level 2 advanced driver assistance system, ensures convenience and safety. Additionally, the one-touch parking function, which allows the driver to park the car without being inside, exemplifies innovation.

Powering the BE 6e are two battery pack options catering to diverse driving needs. The standard rear-wheel-drive configuration offers a choice between a 59 kWh battery, delivering 170 kW of peak power, and a more robust 79 kWh battery producing 210 kW and 380 Nm of torque. With the larger battery, Mahindra claims an impressive ARAI-certified range of up to 682 km on a single charge, making it a compelling choice for long-distance travel.
