KTM India has introduced the latest iteration of the 200 Duke in the Indian market with a price tag of ₹1.96 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), representing a price increase of ₹3,155 compared to the previous model.
The key update in the 2023 200 Duke is the inclusion of the new LED headlamp, borrowed from the 390 Duke, which adds a refreshed look to the motorcycle. The bike will be available in two color options: Electronic Orange and Metallic Silver. It will face competition from rivals such as the Bajaj Pulsar NS200, TVS Apache RTR 200 4V, and Suzuki Gixxer 250.
The new LED headlamp on the 2023 200 Duke incorporates 32 LEDs and six reflectors, providing improved visibility. The design of the headlamp takes inspiration from the headlamp featured on the 1290 Super Duke R model.
Under the hood, the 2023 200 Duke retains its liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine with a displacement of 199.5 cc. It generates a power output of 24.68 bhp at 10,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 19.3 Nm at 8,000 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox and is OBD2 compliant, capable of running on E20 fuel.
The motorcycle is built on a split trellis tubular frame, similar to the one used in the 250 Duke and 390 Duke models. The chassis is supported by 43 mm USD forks at the front and a 10-step adjustable monoshock at the rear, both sourced from WP Apex. Braking duties are handled by a 300 mm front disc and a 230 mm rear disc, equipped with Bybre calipers. The bike features dual-channel ABS along with SuperMoto ABS, offering single-channel ABS functionality.
The 2023 200 Duke retains its LCD digital instrument cluster, providing riders with essential information at a glance. The cluster also includes strategically positioned tell-tale lights for added convenience.
With its upgraded features and reliable performance, the 2023 200 Duke is set to captivate motorcycle enthusiasts. KTM continues to push the boundaries of innovation and deliver thrilling riding experiences to its customers.
