Kia has taken the wraps off its most powerful three-row electric SUV to date, the Kia EV9 GT. This high-performance variant of the brand’s flagship EV9 promises a thrilling driving experience, combining enhanced power with refined aesthetics and cutting-edge technology. Here’s everything you need to know about this exciting new model.

Kia EV9 GT features

While the EV9 GT shares much of its sporty exterior design with the GT-Line models, subtle details set it apart. The enclosed grille now features unique lighting patterns that give the GT a distinct identity. Its new 21-inch alloy wheels enhance the SUV’s bold stance, while neon-green brake calipers add a pop of vibrancy that hints at the power beneath.

The EV9 GT retains the sharp, angular, and upright design language of the EV9 lineup, exuding a sense of futuristic sophistication that complements its high-performance persona.

The front seats have been replaced with sportier units, featuring Alcantara inserts and neon-green accents. These seats not only enhance comfort but also reinforce the SUV’s athletic character.

Additional GT-exclusive interior features include:

  • Unique steering wheel design with premium materials.
  • Custom dashboard trim, adding a layer of sophistication.
  • GT-specific graphics on the dashtop displays.
  • A variant-unique ambient lighting scheme, creating an immersive cabin atmosphere.

The real highlight of the EV9 GT lies under the hood—or rather, within its electric drivetrain. Powered by a dual-motor all-wheel drive system, the EV9 GT delivers a whopping 501 bhp, a significant upgrade from the standard EV9’s 383 bhp.

The front axle houses a 160 kW motor, while the rear axle boasts a 270 kW motor, together enabling the EV9 GT to achieve an estimated 0-97 kmph (0-60 mph) time of 4.3 seconds. This makes it 0.7 seconds faster than the standard GT-Line variant.
