Kia India is significantly changing the trim line-up for its Seltos and Sonet SUVs. This update aims to provide customers with more options, including feature upgrades across trim and a low-cost turbo option. The most noticeable update is the introduction of four additional GTX versions to both models.

These versions provide consumers with various engine combinations, including petrol DCT and diesel AT options. The Kia Seltos currently comes in 21 different variations, while the Sonet has 22. Kia Sonet consumers may now get the Smartstream G1.0 HTK iMT option. This trim is the first Sonet to have a turbocharged petrol engine for less than ₹10 lakh.

Features including ADAS and a 360-degree camera, which were missing from the HTX trim of the Kia Seltos, are now available on the GTX model. Similarly, options such as a wireless phone charger and ISOFIX child seat anchor points are now included on the lower trim of the Kia Sonet.

With the launch of the GTX model, Kia has added more trim options for the Sonet and Seltos SUVs. This new trim offers customers more features at a competitive pricing range, falling between the current HTX+ and GTX+ trims. The Sonet GTX starts at ₹13,70,900 (ex-showroom) and the Seltos GTX starts at ₹18,99,900 (ex-showroom).

There are some notable differences between the GTX trims for the Seltos and Sonet. Compared to the Sonet’s 16-inch alloy wheels, the Seltos GTX has bigger 18-inch wheels. Furthermore, the Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) feature that is included in the Seltos GTX and standard Sonet variants is not available in the Sonet GTX.
