In India, Kia has begun testing a new electric vehicle that might be an upgraded version of the Carens MPV. A carefully camouflaged test mule of the Kia Carens EV has been seen across the nation, lacking an exhaust muzzle and featuring a modified suspension setup. The Kia Carens EV is slated to make its Indian debut in 2025, with the ICE version of the Carens facelift. In fact, there is a good likelihood that Kia will unveil both of these vehicles at the next Bharat Mobility Expo 2025, which will take place in January next year.

What to expect in Kia Carens EV?

The forthcoming Kia Carens EV will be similar to the Carens ICE model in appearance. However, it will have a design similar to the forthcoming Carens facelift. There would be some unique stylistic aspects as well.

The Kia Carens EV would have a ton of features. It is anticipated to include a huge touchscreen infotainment system and a fully digital instrument cluster, among additional features like an air purifier, a 360-degree surround view camera, a wireless phone charger, etc.

The forthcoming Kia Carens EV is projected to share the majority of its engine with the set-up Hyundai Creta EV. In that instance, it would be powered by a 45 kWh battery pack and an electric motor similar to those found in the entry-level Hyundai Kona EV sold in international markets.
