Kia India has achieved its highest-ever car sales in 2024, delivering more than 2.55 lakh vehicles to customers in the past 12 months. The Korean automaker, which offers six models in India, saw strong demand for its popular SUVs like the Sonet and Seltos, along with the Carens RV. The company also introduced two electric vehicles, the EV9 and EV6, and the Carnival MPV.
The Kia Sonet has emerged as the brand’s best-selling car in India, surpassing 1.02 lakh units in sales within the past year. Competing against rivals like the Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Tata Nexon, and Hyundai Venue, the Sonet saw impressive monthly sales of around 10,000 units. Launched with a starting price of ₹7.99 lakh (ex-showroom), the Sonet facelift debuted in 2024, contributing to Kia’s strong performance.
Following the Sonet, the Kia Seltos and Carens rounded out the top three best-sellers. The Seltos continues to compete in the compact SUV segment against the Hyundai Creta and Maruti Grand Vitara. Additionally, the new Carnival, introduced in October, quickly gained traction, with 563 units sold in just two months.
Kia India also saw success in global markets, exporting 25,404 cars in 2024. Looking ahead, Kia will soon launch the Syros SUV, adding to its growing portfolio of vehicles in India.
