This festive season, the Kia Carnival MPV is prepared for its return to India. The automaker recently announced that on October 3, it will launch two new vehicles. The Carnival MPV that will come in India will be the fourth generation, while the previous generation model was discontinued in 2023 due to failure to fulfil BS6 Phase 2 emission rules. The forthcoming Kia Carnival was introduced as KA4 at the Auto Expo in January of last year.
Kia Carnival features
With bolder appearance, Kia modified the Carnival MPV’s design in its fourth-generation model. The Carnival MPV will get a modified front grille, new L-shaped LED DRLs, and thinner, vertically oriented LED headlamp units on each side of it.
The new Carnival’s cabin is expected to come with two types of seat configurations: seven seats and nine seats. Kia will also upgrade the Carnival MPV’s interior with various new features. These will come with a dual-screen setup with a new 12.3-inch infotainment system and digital instrument cluster.
The Carnival MPV may come with three different engine choices under the hood. In global markets, the MPV is available with three different engine options: a 3.5-litre petrol, a 1.6-litre petrol-hybrid and a 2.2-litre diesel. The petrol engine has a maximum torque of 352 Nm and 287 bhp if combined with an eight-speed automated transmission. With a 54 kWh battery, the hybrid version produces a maximum torque of 367 Nm and 242 bhp.
