In India, Kawasaki has unveiled the KLX 230 motorbike. The KLX 230 is a motorbike with a dual purpose that focuses more on off-roading. After the new Kawasaki’s pricing was announced in December 2024, bookings are currently being accepted for a token amount of Rs 5,000. Delivery is scheduled to start in January 2025.

Kawasaki KLX 230 features

The KLX 230 is the first dual-sport road-legal motorbike to be introduced in India. It has a classic dual-purpose design with a thin and tall profile, extended suspension travel, huge wire-spoke wheels, and a single long seat. Important features including LED headlights, turn indicators, rearview mirrors and dual-purpose tyres are included because this motorbike is road-legal.

The KLX 230 features a high-tensile steel perimeter frame that is supported by a 37mm telescopic fork in the front and a Uni-Trak connected monoshock in the back. It has dual-purpose tyres on wire-spoke wheels that are 21 inches in front and 18 inches in back. The dual-channel ABS and the disc brakes on both ends provide braking power.

The Kawasaki KLX 230’s engine consists of a 233cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine that generates 19.73 horsepower at 8,000 rpm and 20.3 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm. It is mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
