JSW MG Motor India recently launched the 2024 Astor Blackstorm for Rs 13.45 lakh (ex-showroom). The company has previously offered a similar SUV in India.
The Blackstorm version keeps the same technical specifications and adds a few blacked-out style cues to the mechanical front. The new Astor Blackstorm is based on the Select trim and comes with an automatic or manual transmission, whereas the previous model was based on the Smart trim.
The Astor Blackstorm’s exterior has a number of blacked-out elements, including the roof rails, alloy wheels with red front brake callipers, grille, headlights, front and rear bumpers, door garnish and side door cladding.
Blackstorm badging is also installed on the vehicle’s front fenders. While the interior setup remains the same, it has an all-black look with Tuxedo Black upholstery and red stitching. Other stylistic features include red AC vents, a black steering wheel and floor mats. Additionally, JBL speakers are included with the Astor Blackstorm and can be equipped at authorized MG dealerships across India.
The vehicle continues to be run by the same 1.5-liter petrol engine, which has a maximum torque of 144 Nm and 109 bhp. The Astor Blackstorm is available with a CVT or a 5-speed manual transmission.
