Hyundai Motor India Limited announced on Wednesday that they will be significantly boosting the number of electric vehicles in their lineup in the upcoming years. In the upcoming years, the brand will introduce three additional electric vehicles after launching the Creta EV in the fourth quarter of the current fiscal year.
The company is making investments to help domestic sectors and lessen dependency on imports by creating a local supply chain for battery packs, powertrains and battery cells. The company’s focus on expanding EV charging infrastructure is essential for lowering battery anxiety and promoting greater adoption of electric vehicles; this is one of the primary reasons why some people are hesitant to buy an EV.
It is unclear what all-electric vehicles Hyundai plans to launch in India. As per rumours, the company might launch an affordable EV priced around the Tata Punch. The brand currently offers only two electric vehicles: the Kona Electric and the Ioniq 5.
