Hyundai UK has unveiled the pricing and specifications for the Inster Cross, the SUV-inspired version of the Inster compact EV. Highlighting SUV-like styling in compact dimensions, the Inster Cross boasts wide, rectangular front and rear bumpers, embossed black claddings, and front and rear skid plates. The 17-inch alloy wheels enhance its rugged appeal, offering better protection when navigating rough terrains compared to the standard Inster. A unique green color option will be exclusive to the Inster Cross.
Inside, the Inster Cross features a fresh interior design with grey cloth upholstery complemented by lime-yellow accents, adding a touch of vibrancy. The same high-tech features available in the base model are present, making the Inster Cross feel premium with more advanced inclusions common in higher-end vehicles.
The Inster Cross is powered by a 49kWh battery that drives an electric motor with 115bhp and 147Nm of torque. Hyundai claims the Inster Cross can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 10.6 seconds and reach a top speed of around 150 km/h. The claimed range on a full charge is approximately 360km, ensuring a balanced mix of performance and efficiency.
In terms of safety, the Inster Cross is equipped with Hyundai’s ADAS package, offering features like adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, and avoidance assist. Priced at £28,745 (approximately Rs. 30.53 lakh), the Inster Cross is now in production at Hyundai’s manufacturing facility in Korea.
