Hyundai has announced the 2025 Ioniq 5 in the US market. The company included new features, upgraded battery capacity and range and introduced a new trim called XRT. Hyundai has also stated that the Ioniq 5 will now use a NACS charging port, making it compatible with Tesla superchargers.

2025 Hyundai Ioniq 5 features

The Ioniq 5 now has updated HVAC controls, a new centre console and physical heated front seat controls. A few variants come with heated back seats in addition to an updated steering wheel.

The 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system comes equipped with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto wirelessly as standard. Smart Cruise Control 2, USB C-ports, Controller Over-The-Air (OTA) update capability and Hyundai’s Digital Key 2 are all supported.

The Ioniq 5 has several safety features, including Advanced Rear Occupant Alert, Side Parking Distance Warning, Parking Collision Avoidance Assist, Blind Spot Warning and Assist, Forward Attention Warning, Parking Distance Warning, Rear wiper and washer and Remote Smart Parking Assist 2. In addition, to improve side collision protection, the body, front and rear doors and B-pillar parts have been improved. Additionally, eight airbags are offered.
