Hyundai has officially teased the highly-anticipated Creta EV SUV, marking its entry into the growing electric SUV segment. The teaser reveals a glimpse of the wallbox charger expected to accompany the vehicle. Set to debut at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Global Expo, this all-electric variant of the popular Creta SUV is poised to retain much of its familiar design and feature set.

The Creta EV will share its basic design elements with the standard Creta, including its headlamps, taillamps, and signature silhouette. However, EV-specific details like a blanked-off grille and aero-optimized wheels will distinguish it. The charging port is anticipated to be integrated into the front fascia, enhancing convenience.

Inside, the Creta EV is expected to maintain the layout of the standard model but will incorporate unique features like a redesigned steering wheel with Hyundai’s EV-specific branding and a steering column-mounted drive mode selector.

Powering the Creta EV will likely be a battery pack with a capacity between 50 kWh to 60 kWh, promising an impressive range of up to 500 km per charge. A single motor driving the front wheels is expected to ensure efficient performance.
