Hyundai is set to launch the much-awaited Creta EV at the Auto Expo 2025 tomorrow. The electric version of the popular SUV has already been revealed with key details about its battery options, range, and powertrain. While the prices remain under wraps, the Creta EV is expected to be Hyundai’s most affordable electric vehicle in India.
Hyundai Creta EV key features
The Creta EV shares the same design as the internal combustion engine (ICE) version, with a few subtle aesthetic differences. The interior also mirrors the standard Creta but with a modern twist.
The electric Creta features a new central floating tunnel, providing an open, airy feel to the cabin and extra storage space due to the absence of a gear lever. The upholstery gets a lighter color with blue accents, adding to the futuristic look.
The Hyundai Creta EV will be available with two battery options: 42 kWh and 51.4 kWh. The 42 kWh battery offers a range of 390 km, while the larger 51.4 kWh pack extends the range to 473 km.
Powering the electric motor, the smaller battery delivers 133 hp, while the larger one offers 168 hp. Both variants feature rapid charging capabilities, charging from 10-80% in just 58 minutes using a DC fast charger.
