Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) is set to enter the electric two-wheeler market with the much-anticipated Honda Activa Electric, which will be unveiled tomorrow, November 27. This family-focused electric scooter aims to compete with established models like the Bajaj Chetak, Ola S1, and Vida V1.
Here’s what to expect in Honda Activa Electric scooter
The Activa E will offer a claimed range of 104 km on a full charge in standard mode. While this range is impressive for daily commuting, the scooter will also feature a sport riding mode, which delivers improved throttle response but may slightly reduce the overall range. Designed with family-oriented riders in mind, the Activa E is expected to have a mid-performance setup, balancing efficiency with practicality. It is likely to include swingarm-mounted motors, similar to other electric scooters like the Bajaj Chetak and Vida V1.
Key Features of the Honda Activa Electric
The Activa E will be available in two trims, each offering distinct features. The lower trim will feature a TFT digital instrument cluster, while the higher trim will sport a multi-color screen with advanced functionalities. The larger display on the higher variant will show essential information like battery status, remaining range, speed, and riding mode. Additionally, the top trim will include turn-by-turn navigation and music control features, adding extra convenience for riders. The Activa E will also come equipped with an LED headlamp setup for improved visibility.
