Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has revealed two new electric two-wheelers – the Honda Activa E and Honda QC1, both set to launch in India soon. These models mark Honda’s commitment to achieving carbon neutrality by 2050, with plans to make all its motorcycle products carbon-neutral by the 2040s.
Honda Activa E features
The Honda Activa E is built on the popular Activa’s frame, targeting the 110cc commuter segment. Powered by two swappable Honda Mobile Power Pack e: batteries, it offers 5.6 bhp of power, with a maximum output of 8 bhp.
The scooter features three riding modes—Standard, Sport, and ECON—and offers a range of 102 km on a full charge. Notable features include LED lighting, Honda RoadSync Duo for hands-free calling and navigation, and Bluetooth connectivity.
Honda QC1 features
The Honda QC1 is a moped designed specifically for India, set to launch in the spring of 2025. Powered by a 1.5 kWh fixed battery, the QC1 is equipped with a compact in-wheel motor that delivers 1.6 bhp, with a peak output of 2.4 bhp. It offers a range of 80 km on a single charge. The QC1 is designed with LED lighting, a 5-inch LCD display, and a USB Type-C port. It also includes a convenient luggage compartment under the seat for storage.
Although both models share similarities in design, such as the LED lights and sleek styling, the Activa E features disc brakes, while the QC1 comes with drum brakes. The QC1’s simplified design omits some features like chrome accents and the high-mounted DRL found on the Activa E.
