Honda Cars India recently launched the new-generation Amaze with prices starting at Rs. 8 lakh (ex-showroom). This heavily updated sub-four-metre sedan competes against popular models like the Hyundai Aura, Tata Tigor, and Maruti Dzire.

In an interaction with CarWale, Honda officials stated that the top-spec ZX variant of the Amaze had been a customer favourite, accounting for 60% of total bookings. Of these, 65% are for the automatic (CVT) version. The mid-spec VX variant makes up 30% of bookings, while the base variant claims 10%.

Priced at Rs. 10.90 lakh (ex-showroom), the ZX variant offers premium features like a segment-first camera-based ADAS, 15-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, LED projector headlamps, wireless charging, and rear AC vents.

The Amaze ZX also comes equipped with push-button start, remote start for the CVT variant, automatic climate control, rearview and lane-watch cameras, auto headlamps, and wipers, adding to its overall appeal. Additionally, Honda offers an optional seat cover accessory with features like seat ventilation and massage, enhancing comfort for a premium driving experience.

While the Honda Amaze ZX offers impressive features, it lacks the 360-degree camera and sunroof found on the top-spec Maruti Dzire ZXI+, which is priced lower at Rs. 10.14 lakh. Despite this, the Amaze’s feature-rich offering makes it a strong contender in its segment.
