Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) is set to unveil its first electric scooter in India on November 27, 2023. Teased with the slogan “Watts Ahead,” the upcoming model is rumoured to be the Honda Activa Electric.  Designed to offer familiarity and affordability, Activa Electric is expected to share several features with the existing ICE  model to keep production costs low.

The upcoming Activa Electric is anticipated to have a range of approximately 100 kilometers per charge. With performance expected to align with the Activa 110, this electric model would be a strong competitor to established names in the segment, including the Ather 450X, TVS iQube, Bajaj Chetak, and Hero Vida V1.

Honda Motor Europe most recently debuted its new European electric scooter at EICMA 2024. After the EM 1e e-scooter, the new Honda CUV e: electric scooter is the company’s second e-scooter for Europe. The vehicle promises a range of more than 70 kilometers on a single charge due to its two removable 1.3 kWh battery packs. According to reports, the charging duration from 0% to 100% is around 6 hours. The CUV e has a mid-drive motor that can reach a maximum speed of 80 kmph and has 6 kW (8 horsepower).
