Honda Motorcycles & Scooters India has officially entered the Indian electric vehicle market with the launch of two new models: the Activa e and QC1. These electric scooters promise modern designs, efficient performance, and indigenous manufacturing at Honda’s Narsapura plant in Karnataka. Bookings start on January 1, 2025, with deliveries from February 2025.
Activa e features
The Activa e retains the classic charm of its ICE sibling, with sleek, futuristic upgrades like angular LED headlamps, integrated DRLs, and Activa.e badging on the tail lamp. Powered by dual 1.5 kWh swappable batteries offering a total of 3 kWh, it delivers 8 bhp, 22 Nm torque, and an impressive range of 102 km per charge. Accelerating from 0-60 kmph in just 7.3 seconds, it also features three riding modes: Econ, Standard, and Sport.
Key highlights include telescopic front forks, an adjustable rear suspension, front disc brakes, and a 7-inch TFT screen with Bluetooth connectivity, navigation, and battery-swapping support at Honda BeX stations.
QC1 features
The QC1 is a compact offering with a fixed 1.5 kWh battery, providing an 80 km range on a full charge. Its 1.8 kW motor delivers 77 Nm of torque and a top speed of 50 kmph. It features a 5.0-inch LCD display, USB Type-C port, and spacious 26-litre under-seat storage.
Warranty and Colours
Both models are offered with a 3-year/50,000 km warranty, three free services, and roadside assistance for the first year. Colour options include Pearl Shallow Blue, Misty White, Serenity Blue, Foggy Silver, and Igneous Black.
