Land Rover confirmed that the Defender Octa will be unveiled on July 3rd. It will be the most powerful Defender model to go on sale. Furthermore, Defender Octa will be the first vehicle from the company to have the ‘JLR’ badge.

Prospective clients in the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, the United States, Dubai and Japan may register for a worldwide reveal event, which will provide early access to customers to select the specifications of their Defender Octa.

The Land Rover is powered by a twin-turbocharged V8 engine borrowed from BMW. It is a 4.4-litre unit, however, the power and torque outputs have yet to be shared. That being said, the same engine that powers the Range Rover Sport SV delivers 609 bhp and 800 Nm, enabling it to accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in a mere 3.8 seconds.

In the off-roader range, the Defender Octa will be the flagship model. Along with new JLR badging, the SUV will proudly display the ‘Land Rover’ name on its exterior as an honorary emblem. Further details regarding the Defender Octa are expected to be provided in the following days as the launch date approaches.
