Hero MotoCorp is gearing up to launch the highly anticipated bigger XPulse in the Indian market next year. Recently, the company filed a design patent for the XPulse 421, sparking excitement among motorcycle enthusiasts. This adventure motorcycle is expected to make its official debut at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025.
Here’s what to expect in Hero XPulse 421
The XPulse 421 will feature a newly developed 421 cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine delivering an impressive 40 bhp and 45 Nm of torque. It will be paired with a 6-speed gearbox, complete with a slipper clutch for smoother shifts.
In terms of competition, the XPulse 421 directly rivals the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, which offers similar power figures but slightly less torque.
The design of the XPulse 421 takes a bold new direction. It retains its adventure DNA but boasts a flat LED headlamp, a tall fuel tank, and an ergonomic single-piece seat. Practical additions include a pillion-friendly flat seat and a rear rack for luggage. Rugged elements like a sump guard and upswept exhaust further enhance its off-road capabilities.
The motorcycle is built on a new trellis frame supported by long-travel upside-down front forks and a rear monoshock. Braking duties are managed by a petal disc at the front and a standard rear disc, with switchable dual-channel ABS ensuring safety.
For tackling diverse terrains, the XPulse 421 will feature 21-inch front and 18-inch rear spoked wheels wrapped in dual-purpose tyres.
