Hero MotoCorp’s electric mobility brand VIDA has introduced the DIRT.E K3, an innovative electric off-road motorcycle designed for children between the ages of four and ten. Priced from ₹69,990 as an introductory offer for the first 300 units, the DIRT.E K3 marks VIDA’s entry into the off-roading space with a product built around safety, sustainability and progressive learning.

Inspired by the brand’s philosophy “Wild beyond the Ride,” the DIRT.E K3 brings a new approach to early motorcycling by combining an electric drivetrain with an adjustable design that adapts to a child’s growth. The motorcycle features a three-stage size-adjustable platform that can shift between Small, Medium and Large configurations using a single tool. This ensures that young riders maintain consistent ergonomics over several years, helping them build confident riding habits from the very beginning. Parents can further customise the experience through the VIDA app, which allows control over speed limits, mode locking and real-time oversight during practice sessions.

Developed through collaboration between the Hero Tech Centre Germany (HTCG) and the Centre of Innovation and Technology (CIT) in Jaipur, the DIRT.E K3 reflects Hero MotoCorp’s global engineering capabilities. Production will take place at the company’s state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, where VIDA’s electric vehicle line is housed.

Powering the motorcycle is a 350W continuous and 500W peak motor paired with a 360Wh removable battery. The battery can be detached easily and charged at home in roughly three hours, offering up to three hours of riding depending on terrain, mode and usage patterns. The sealed battery housing and magnetic connector ensure durability, safety and reliable performance even in varying weather conditions. The DIRT.E K3 also offers three progressive riding modes—Beginner, Amateur and Pro—which allow children to gradually develop their skills with smooth, predictable acceleration and manageable top speeds.

The motorcycle has been engineered for control and stability with its 16-inch spoked wheel, adjustable frame geometry and single rear hydraulic disc brake designed to reduce the risk of front-wheel washout on uneven terrain. Safety extends to every component, including a child-sized brake lever, impact-absorbing parts, an over-moulded wiring harness and a magnetic lanyard kill switch that immediately cuts power if the rider becomes unseated.

The DIRT.E K3 has already earned global recognition, receiving the Red Dot Design Award 2025 and being named a CES Innovation Award Honoree for 2026, reinforcing its status as a pioneering product in the kids’ electric mobility segment.

VIDA has opened Expressions of Interest on its website vidaworld.com. The motorcycle will be available in striking Red, Purple and White colour options. Retail sales begin on January 15, 2026, with deliveries rolling out initially in Delhi, Bengaluru, Pune, Jaipur and Calicut.
