Hero MotoCorp, the world’s largest manufacturer of motorcycles and scooters, reported a strong sales performance in December 2025, reflecting sustained demand momentum across domestic and global markets. The company dispatched 456,479 units during the month, marking a year-on-year growth of 40% compared with 324,906 units in December 2024. VAHAN registrations stood at 291,732 units, indicating steady retail traction supported by festive demand, recent model launches, and consistent performance across both ICE and electric vehicle portfolios.
The positive trend continued through the third quarter of FY26. During Q3 FY26, covering the period from October to December 2025, Hero MotoCorp recorded growth across both motorcycle and scooter segments. Motorcycle volumes reached 1,512,255 units in Q3 FY26, up from 1,360,159 units in the corresponding quarter last year, while scooter volumes rose to 184,522 units from 103,643 units. Total volumes for the quarter stood at 1,696,777 units, compared with 1,463,802 units in Q3 FY25, underlining broad-based growth across categories.
A key contributor to the quarterly performance was the ICE scooter portfolio, which registered growth of 45% during Q3 FY26. This expansion was led by newer models such as Destini 110, Destini 125, Xoom 125, and Xoom 160, which continued to see healthy customer response in the domestic market. Domestic dispatches for December 2025 were reported at 419,243 units, while Q3 FY26 domestic volumes stood at 1,594,592 units, higher than 1,391,332 units recorded in the same period last year.
Hero MotoCorp’s global business also maintained a steady upward trajectory. Export dispatches rose to 37,236 units in December 2025, compared with 30,754 units a year ago, translating into a 21% year-on-year increase. For Q3 FY26, exports stood at 102,185 units, up from 72,470 units in Q3 FY25, supported by portfolio expansion and continued traction across key international markets.
The company’s emerging mobility arm, VIDA, continued to scale up its presence in the electric two-wheeler space. VIDA reported 10,701 VAHAN registrations in December 2025 and closed the year with an estimated market share of 11%. Growth was supported by demand for the VX2 EVOOTER, sustained festive momentum, and improving consumer sentiment. During the quarter, VIDA also strengthened brand visibility through a title partnership with Kolkata Knight Riders for three seasons, aimed at engaging younger consumers and promoting electric mobility.
In terms of product expansion, VIDA commercially launched the DIRT.E K3, a size-adaptive electric motorcycle designed for young riders aged 4 to 10 years, following its global unveiling at EICMA 2025. Retail sales for the model commenced from January 15, 2025, marking the brand’s entry into a new sub-segment.
Hero MotoCorp also expanded its premium offerings in collaboration with Harley-Davidson. The partners launched the H-D X440 T in India and introduced the top-end Harley-Davidson CVO range, including the CVO Street Glide and CVO Road Glide, further strengthening their joint presence in the premium motorcycle segment.
